So as I sit here wondering how to formally explain why I decided to start to dive into the Voice-Over Industry. And honestly. There isn't one. 

See COVID has brought out the entrepreneur out of 85% of the US. And I happened to be that one. After contracting my voice out for call centers after call centers. And numerous of "This is nana before a call. This nana during a call" jokes from my family. I decided to put on my research hat on and start surfing the web.

Whoop! And to my surprise there it was. Offers to get paid reading. And there was more, Voices wanted for commercials, videos, professional voice prompts, company training videos. and more, So of course me being me. I dived in head first. And you guessed it. Screamed once I hit the chill of the unknowledgeable waters.

Now this is the part that I will share with you. Yes you. Everything I'm learning to share in order smooth the journey on your claim to fame and fortune. Well. How about claiming your mark in this vast industry of VOICE-OVER TALENT.

STEP 1

• Find helpful sites such as https://www.voices.com/. This is the best I have come across. They are so insightful and Voices offer everything that's required to get you started. They offer voices coaches (Strongly Recommend), an employment platform, required equipment needed and more.

STEP 2

• Be prepared to be overwhelmed by the flood of must and best needs to start your studio. #Amazonshoppersblur. I personally started joining groups on my social network and just started asking questions. And I have 2 fav Guru's that I bank on. And they are. VoiceOverMaster (Josh Meyer) and Sensei Earl Hall, 

STEP 3

• Educate yourself with the main 2 used audio platforms. The best FREE  audio platform to store all of your work, demos and more is AUDACITY. This team is easy to download and it has all the bells and whistles and for first timers. OMG! They are the bomb.com... Wait 🤔. Yeah that's still a saying. Moving forward. With this wonderful workstation there is no way to get anything wrong. The AUDACITY TEAM has all. and I do mean all of the answers. And in the event you aren't in the reading mood. YouTube is right there to the rescue. This TUTORIAL is the bees knees. And even better. The VO seasoned family members love to share their versions of assistance as well. The VO Clan is a great family to be apart of. We thrive on seeing everyone succeed here.
